I joined WPI after completing my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1997. My Ph.D. thesis, Quality Planning for Distributed Collaborative Multimedia Applications, included methods for predicting the performance of multimedia applications based on a user-level quality model. I received tenure and promotion to associate professor in 2004 and promotion to full professor in 2009. My overall research interests include multimedia networking, congestion control, network games and information filtering.
My wife and I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, a bunch of computers, and just about every game device out there.
