Secure Computer Architecture Research (SCARCH)
The Secure Computer Architecture Research Group exploits unique opportunities exposed by considering the interaction of algorithms, compilers, and microprocessor architectures to improve performance, to reduce cost, to lower power, and to shorten the time to market of embedded security processors. Clearly, security techniques from data encryption to Intrusion detection and Countermeasure systems are becoming prevalent as components of modern computing systems. The research conducted in this area will explore modification to traditional architectures in order to achieve performance, reliability, and cost efficiencies.
