CV

My name is Hamid Mansoor and I recently completed a doctorate in Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Research Interests

My advisor was Prof. Emmanuel Agu and I was a part of the DARPA funded Warfighter Analytics using Smartphone Health (WASH) project. My research interests are at the intersection of Data Visualization and Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing. I have researched, designed and implemented several interactive data visualization frameworks that enable analysts to solve various issues encountered while analyzing mobile and ubiquitously gathered human behavior data. My focus is to enable analysts to reason about and explain the various intuitions gathered from such data. I am planning on shifting my focus after my doctoral program to presenting such data to everyday users through visual storytelling for personal health and wellness tracking.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the VIXI Lab at the Univeristy of Victoria, Canada, under the mentorship of Prof. Miguel Nacenta.
