State Per-Capita Contribution of Players to All Professional Sports

The value used for each state is the average per-capita contribution for each of the five professional leagues. A state is shown as "As Expected" if the percentage of players it contributes to the league is the same as the percentage of population it contributes to the U.S. A state showing as "Twice Expected" contributes twice as many players to the league as would be expected based upon its population relative to the whole of the U.S. A state showing as "Half of Expected" contributes half as many players to the league as would be expected based upon its population relative to the whole of the U.S.

Louisiana has the highest average per-capita contribution of players.
