Hello!

I am reaching out to you as a leader of the TechShift Alliance. We are a network of university organizations and young people committed to creating a more just technological society. This fall, our movement is hoping to support students from colleges and universities around the country (and the world) in the process of creating their own tech for good organizations. We would really love for students at Williams to join our movement!

If you could spread the word about this opportunity to students in the CS department, relevant student groups and Williams at large, I would greatly appreciate it. We are hoping to reach a diverse and multi-disciplinary set of students. I’ve included an email template and a short blurb for social media at the bottom of the email.

Thank you very much for your time. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out! You can reply to this email, or contact me directly at info@techshift.co.

All the best,

Misbah Noorani

Head of Operations @ Techshift

Email Template:

Are you passionate about using technology as a force for good? Do you wish there were more opportunities to apply tech skills to issues you care about? Are you frustrated by current events and looking for ways to help? Do you believe in the collective power of many young people working together? We’re a movement of students who believe that we can create positive change by working at the intersection of technology and social impact. We have more than four years of leading university organizations and programs at schools like Stanford, Brown, Cornell, and Georgia Tech under our belt. This fall we’re working to help students at more universities start their own tech for good organizations. If this resonates with you, we hope you apply to create an organization at your university!
