I'm hoping you can help us by forwarding this email to undergraduate students interested in privacy to let them know about our unique Privacy Engineering masters program in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. This program is designed for computer scientists and engineers, or others with technical backgrounds, who wish to pursue careers as privacy engineers or technical privacy managers - a rapidly growing field. As new privacy regulations take effect, companies and other organizations have created positions for people responsible for ensuring that privacy is an integral part of the design process. Our recent graduates have received job offers from Adobe, Deloitte, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Nike, Oracle, Snap, Uber, and more! Through two-semesters of coursework, our students learn to integrate perspectives that span product design, software development, cyber security, human computer interaction, as well as business and legal considerations. Students conclude their studies with a learning-by-doing, capstone project, where they work in teams on privacy-by-design projects sponsored by clients, including start-ups and major companies. Our students also participate in events sponsored by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (now over 30,000 members strong) and take their privacy certification exams. Students can learn more about our program at http://privacy.cs.cmu.edu. Our early application deadline is December 15, 2017. Thank you!
