Dear WPI CS Department,

My name is Fiona Young and I am currently serving as the Campus Director at the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) Academy Lexington. I’m writing because we are currently looking for qualified math/CS graduate students to take on part-time positions as K-12 math instructors at our Academy. Our curriculum is created by professional mathematicians and offers a level of rigor and creativity unparalleled by other educational enrichment programs.

We have officially committed to teaching on Zoom for the rest of the Academic Year, so instructors are not required to have a mode of transportation to our Waltham campus. We do ask that candidates be authorized to work in the US and that they be residents of the state of MA.

The minimal time commitment is just under 3 hours per week (including prep time) and compensation is $100 per 105-minute class. Instructors will also receive by mail free copies of our critically-acclaimed textbooks.

If there are any graduate students from your department who are interested, please have them send a CV to jobs-lexington@aopsacademy.org and we will get the application process started as soon as possible.
