Faculty and Alums Share Memories
"In 1978, I loved computers in HS; but very few had quality CS degrees. WPI shined above them all and I enrolled in 1979. We had punch cards and green screens! The computer center was not even open after midnight until my sophomore year; and I was there a lot burning the midnight oil." -- '83
"I absolutely learning and studying under The Plan. I was several steps ahead of others when I entered the industry." -- '82
"Too many memories, the drama club and Prof. Vick. My roommates Marybeth Woodward Kenig and Laurie Cocchi. " -- '83
"I remember many hours down at WACC focused on getting assignments completed. The world of Computer Science has changed a lot in 35 years! " -- '83
Faculty and Alums Identify WPI People Who Made a Personal Impact
"Bob Kinicki's operating systems classes and his work with me on my MQP were challenging, and provided me with real world experience that helped prepare me for my career as a Software Engineer." -- '83
"Not only was Professor Scott and great advisor, I worked with him as a TA on the old Computer Graphics class. What a pleasure." -- '83
"Prof. Karen Lemone. She was my MQP adviser and all around mentor and adviser. She once told me that if I ever learned COBOL to never put it on my resume because then I would get a COBOL job and no one wanted that!" -- '83
"Many dedicated faculty members had an impact on me during my time at WPI. Professors Hardell, Kinicki and Selkow stand out - as well as many classmates including Neil Sullivan; my MQP partner." -- '83
