This project is to create an online bibliography of literature relevant to studying distributed systems topics as they relate to the World Wide Web. The goal is to not only gather the references from various journals and conferences, but to use the online availability of the literature for references and indexing. This collection of information will allow connections between research work to be identified and studied as part of a distributed systems graduate course and by researchers in the field. Long-term maintainability of such a database is an important consideration in its construction.

• WWW as a distributed system bibliography

  • Core set of bibliographic references (sorted by keys)

  • Core set of bibliographic references (sorted in reverse order by publication date)

  • Core set of bibliographic references (sorted in reverse order of when added to Webbib core)

  • Webbib paper list (overall and yearly, sorted by number of references to paper)

  • A list of references from the core set (references) and to the core set (referenced by) are available. You can also generate your own transitive closures from arbitrary sets of references.

  • Webbib Author List (Alphabetical)

  • Webbib Author List (Sorted By Number of References From Core Papers to Work)

• Distributed systems/WWW conferences, journals and books

  • Grouped by topic and type

  • Sorted in reverse order by last modified time.

• Searching (limited)

  • References based on a search of authors.

  • References based on a search of titles.

  • Other search facilities: ACM, IEEE or USENIX search engines.

Note: References are included with the bibliographic entry for many papers. References are marked as either extracted or verified. Extracted references are the result on using an automated script on the text of paper with variable accuracy and completeness of the results. Verified references indicate a person has verified the given references and indicate a much a higher degree of accuracy and completeness.
