I am interested in projects that involve visual communication of information, and in particular how visualization can be used to address societal problems or to improve the quality of life. This could include educational uses, medical diagnosis, entertainment, and other domains. The projects would necessarily entail evaluation by users via surveys, interviews, or focus groups, and the analysis of the feedback gathered.
I am also actively involved with the campus-wide sustainability initiative, particularly in regards to the carbon footprint of the campus and its members. Topics involving things such as source reduction/reuse, energy usage, car pooling, climate control, and recycling are all of interest to me.
