The early 1990's have seen the concepts of the 1980's become
implemented.
In programming languages, the object-oriented paradigm
is used daily by millions of C++ programmers (albeit,
not in its pure SmallTalk conceptualization).
Similarly, in the electronic document world, the concept
of a structured document is used daily by millions of
HTML coders creating Web documents.
In many companies, documents are being converted to SGML, and to a
lesser extent its hypermedia extension, HyTime.
The Internet, especially the World Wide Web, has
brought electronic documents to billions.
