Individual Differences
The study of Individual Differences involves research into how individuals differ in terms of how they think/solve problems (cognitive style, cognitive abilities), personality and their level of expertise (domain knowledge). Knowledge of how a person uses information presented to them to solve a problem can be used to design systems that present them with the information most likely to be needed and in the optimal format for their cognitive style.Here are some links I've found related to Individual Differences:
