A Study in Dust ------------------------- Garon Clements (garonc@wpi.edu) Chris Drouin (cdrouin@wpi.edu) Evan May (hoolakin@wpi.edu) Introduction: ------------------------- Your mission is simple: defend your space colony through the long, dark alien nights with the help of your trusty spotlight; swarms of voracious nanoparticles - "dust" - will swarm in from the boundaries and attempt to destroy it. Every morning, you will have the opportunity to place a new spinning mirror; place these mirrors carefully, and you should be able to defend the colony from all comers, even those on the far edges. Survive as long as you can. Requirements: ------------------------- Java Runtime 6 run with "java -jar Dust_042707.jar" Controls: ------------------------- Daytime: WASD - Position the spotlight tank Left click - Place mirrors (three initial, one for each remaining day) Nighttime: WASD - Move the spotlight tank Mouse Pointer - Focus the spotlight on the mouse pointer Known bugs: ------------------------- - Reflected light beams occasionally get they coordinates flipped, yielding an odd-looking "twisted light" effect. Doesn't affect gameplay much. - Dust clouds sometimes glitch out and flee. This is to your advantage. Don't worry about it.
