Planetary Defense is a 2D text-based, top-down and single-player tower defense game.

In the game, the player, commander of the P.O.D.A.I (Planetary Orbital Defense Artificial Intelligence), can choose between a selection of three default maps and difficulties, but provides the resources necessary for the player to design his or her own level through use of text files! The game world consist of a grid that the player can place towers along. These towers are vital to killing the three provided enemy types the player will encounter. A sleek UI conveys easy to use controls and level data such as wave or building information. Let too many enemies slip by you, and the planet will suffer, remain vigilant in the fight against space orks, and you may earn your place as the galaxies standardized defense AI!

In this recreation of the famous "Trench Run" scene from Star Wars: A New Hope, you control the lead X-Wing in an assault on the Empire's secret weapon, the Death Star. Navigate through the chaotic trench by avoiding incoming Tie Fighters, Interceptors, and Bombers, and survive long enough to shoot the missile down the Death Star's weak point and bringing peace to the galaxy... or for a little while. Want to challenge your friends? Gather up as many points as possible through the trenches and compete for the highest score!

Blockomancy

Blockomancy is a puzzle adventure game. The player can gather and place blocks from long distances, allowing for clever solutions to tricky levels. The progression of a typical level involves collecting some blocks, then placing these blocks on lasers to open doors, clearing the way to the next area or the level goal. There are six main levels in the game, which start simple but get more challenging over the course of the game. But the real feature of Blockomancy is the level editor. Players can create custom levels and export them to a file. They can play custom levels they or others created.

Escape features Wall Jump Mechanics, Power-Ups, Randomly generated Enemies, and a unique addition...Wall Blocks! No more will jumping from side to side suffice. Now you can jump onto objects that fall from the middle!

The Ruins of ALascii

"The Ruins of ALascii" is a top down maze shooter game. The goal of the game is to navigate throughout the maze levels while avoiding enemies, or shooting them, and getting to the portal. For every enemy the player shoots, he gets points added to his score. If a player gets hit by an enemy, the health of the player is decreased. There are three types of enemies. The first is the walker, which randomly walks around the map with no clear path. The second is the shooter, which shoots a bullet in a random direction every few seconds. The third enemy is the hunter, which follows the player whenever it is on the same x or y axis. Each level is randomly generated and they grow larger and larger as the player progresses through the game. The enemies are randomly spawned and placed throughout the levels, with the number of enemies increasing as the levels increase. Hidden throughout some of the levels are health items and score items. The health items restore player health and the score items increase the player's score. The portal is randomly generated as well, sometimes making it difficult to find. How long will you be able to last in this unbeatable maze?

@man is a megaman-esque platformer shooter. Our game utilizes shooting, movement, three unique enemies and one boss, platforming, a health system, a character following view, and endless minutes of replayable fun. We programmed enemies to stay idle while they are out of range of @man, and come alive when he gets closer to them. We also implemented a limit to how many bullets @man is allowed to have alive at one time. This 3 shot feature makes the character vulnerable when he misses his shots, but powerful when close enough to the enemy to spam attacks. Finally the boss fight utilizes a system of knocking the boss backwards with each shot until he falls to his demise. Join @man in his rampage of revenge against the scourge known as Aman.

NoTRon also features the ability to customize gameplay by setting wall length and including support for different sized windows.

The game is Pac-Man meets a shooter. The player has a hero character inside a maze that can move around according to the arrow keys pressed. There are monster creatures that will try to move and kill the character by colliding with him. The hero must dodge these creatures or shoot them to kill them, gaining points by doing so. Various power ups will be scattered throughout the maze, and there will be different levels upon reaching the level up squares.

Hashtag Hero reignites the feeling of being in an arcade by being a 2D arcade style spelling game. The hero, #Hashtag travels throughout the world, reuniting disjointed letters into their glorious original words. Along the way, #Hashtag's actions have not gone unnoticed, and must contend with evil characters that more and more seek to disrupt his holy crusade. Periodically, the shadowy leaders of the Evil Character Cult appear to threaten #Hashtag directly. There are powerups to be had, bosses to be destroyed, and plenty of spelling goodness to go around.

This game is a wave-based game. Between waves of enemies, the player can spend points to place different towers. During the wave, the player controls their character, and works with the placed towers to defeat the enemies. The player gains points over time. If the enemy hits the towers, they are destroyed. The walls will take two hits, and then die. The landmine is a last minute defense that will blow up and destroy an enemy. If the player is hit, or if an enemy gets to the left of the screen, the player loses.

The game is a puzzle adventure with a top-down perspective, where the player controls the person moving throughout the 2D environment. They will face many challenges in the form of block pushing puzzles. Their goal is to reach the exit and escape the dreaded blocks and to get back to the Cygwin window.

SPACE! is a fast-paced action game with a collection focus. The player controls an astronaut who is rocketing through sectors of space amidst a starry free-scrolling parallax backdrop. Using jetpack thrusters and energy wave projectiles, the astronaut must acquire riches and escape through the exit portal before his suit's steadily diminishing energy supply runs out. He must be careful, though; overuse of projectiles, or impacting space debris, will sharply decrease his energy supply, and eventually leave him exposed to the vacuum of space! Acquiring enough wealth in the available sectors will lead to deeper sectors of space; what could await at the end?

Terrific Bricks is a simple arcade-style game where the player guides a bouncing ball to destroy the rows of bricks on the screen, keeping the ball from falling off the bottom by moving a paddle back and forth for it to bounce off of. Each row's bricks are more resilient than the last, requiring more hits to destroy them. Destroying the bricks earns points towards the player's score, which is counting down over time, encouraging the player to finish the level as fast as possible. Every time the ball falls off the bottom, the player loses a life, until it's game over.

Dead Square is a top down shooter in which the player defends him or herself from an endless horde of zombies. The player has three weapons, all of which have limited ammunition. The only way to get more ammunition is from (random) zombies. The more zombies the player kills, the more zombies they attract. For the most part the zombies aren't very smart and can't detect where exactly the player is. Some zombies do know, and will actively hunt the player. The player also has the ability to sacrifice 15 points to place a barricade which will stop zombies from passing (effectively killing them) for 60 seconds.
