CS3733-B05: Project Stakeholders

The three main stakeholders for your project are presented on this page. In addition, there is information about your technical consultant who, while not really a stakeholder, is available to give you advice.

Russell Customer

Russell is the CEO of Electronic House of the Future (EHOF). He learned a lot from his venture into technology with the automated parking garage project, but he realizes that he's really the "idea man" and needs to let others handle the details. However, he still has his hand in everything. He is the one you will have to impress in the weekly reviews. (AIM: RussCstmr, e-mail: rcustomr@wpi.edu).

Marty M. Weasel

Marty, the marketing weasel, is the director of product marketing. He is responsible for gathering requirements from potential customers and other stakeholders, and coordinating them with the technologists in EHOF. Like many marketing people, Marty wants to have as many bells and whistles as possible and will ask for much more than you can possibly deliver. You need to work with him to help him understand what can be done, what the technical risks are, and then work with him to help prioritize the work. He has written some use cases and is comfortable with them. He has agreed to try making user stories from the use cases if that will help the development team. Professor Pollice

The bald, smiling guy above is your professor. He wants you to learn a lot and is here to help you understand the project better and help you with any problems you might have. Oh yes, he also assigns your grade.

Gonzo, your technical consultant

Gonzo T. Propellerhead is the chief technical officer. After doing such a bang-up job on the automated parking garage, Russell made Gonzo and offer he couldn't refuse to come join him in EHOF. (Can you say mega stock options?) Gonzo loves being the big Kahuna guru, and will try to impress you with his vast knowledge. He does have a lot, but beware of him giving you "pie in the sky" ideas that will lead you on a wild good chase. (AIM: GonzoProp, e-mail: csgonzo@wpi.edu)
