Using SourceForge

• Creating a SourceForge project. This is a short presentation that tells you what you need to know to create a project on the WPI SourceForge system.
• Monitoring SourceForge Projects. This presentation shows you how to effectively monitor a SourceForge project so you are notified when items of interest are added or modified in that project.
• Adding pictures to your SourceForge wiki. This presentations shows you a simple way to add pictures to your SourceForge wiki pages.

Using Eclipse

• Installing Eclipse. This presentation shows you where to get Eclipse and how to install it.
• Creating a project in Eclipse. This presentation shows you how to run Eclipse and create a (Java) project in Eclipse. It also shows you how to import preferences, if you are a member of a team with a set of Eclipse preferences.
• Exporting your Eclipse project. This presentations shows you how to export your project, or part of a project from Eclipse so that others can easily import it.
• Using a separate directory/folder for plug-ins. This is my first Camtasia Studio production. It is a short film to show how to set up an Eclipse installation to use a folder for plug-ins where the folder is not a direct subfolder of the eclipse folder. This is useful when you have multiple Eclipse installations or want to enable/disable specific capabilities.
• Connecting to Subversion with the Subversive Plug-in. This presentation shows you how to connect to a Subversion repository from Eclipse. The WPI SourceForge installation now supports Subversion, which many prefer to CVS for source code management.
• Downloading and setting up the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools. This shows you how to download the Eclipse CDT, starting from scratch, using the Eclipse 3.2 Callisto distribution.
• Setting up Eclipse for Sun SPOT Projects. Shows you how to create the user libraries needed for SPOT projects.

Compiler Construction

• Setting up JavaCC. Shows you where to get JavaCC and the Eclipse plug-in we use, as well as installing the plug-in.
• Using JavaCC. Shows you how to use JavaCC and the Eclipse plug-in for your compiler work.
• Using JTB. Shows you how to use the Java Tree Builder with an Eclipse project that uses JavaCC.

Software Engineering and OOAD

• Installing Visual Paradigm Suite. Shows you how to obtain the software and license and install it on your system.
• Using Visual Paradigm. This presentations hows you how to install your license and create a simple project.
• Copying user stories using Webfoot. This is very rough draft of a presentation on how to get the Webfoot developer update and copy user stories from the course project to your project team's SourceForge project. There is audio in this presentation.

Miscellaneous

• Installing the CodeRally plug-in for Eclipse and creating a CodeRally project. If you are going to enter the STTG's CodeRally competition, this may be useful for getting started.
• Sun SPOT setup. Shows you an easy, guaranteed way to set up everything you need for developing Sun SPOT programs.
