Making More out of Mac OS X

I became a Mac user again after their OS became Unix. While I like the user interface, I have found suggestions from others that help mitigate some of the small "clunky" things I don't like about it. This is just my personal list, but you may find some of them useful.

Bad Chrome Print Dialog To replace the Chrome "Print Preview" dialog with the "old" print dialog, open a Terminal window, and type:

Default Folder X

Secure file transfer. Allows you to copy files to and from machines that support SSH.

Nice little application for precisely controlling the fans in your MacBook.

Magic Mouse Driver

MagicPrefs
Preferences pane for MagicPrefs for Leopard.

CoolIris
Very cool plug-in for viewing images in your browser.
