THE VIRTUAL ARMORY. This project, a collaborative between IMGD and the
Higgins Armory Museum will explore the intersection of historical artifacts
and digital technologies in designing an interactive virtual exhibit for the
museum. The team will develop and use digitally-based research resources
(artifacts databases, digital bibliographies) to produce a research document
in its selected area, using this research as a basis for their virtual
exhibit. The team will choose the topic of the virtual exhibit from: European
Armor 500 BCE-1700 CE; The Classic Suit of Armor; Islamic Arms and Armor;
Arms and Armor of Subsaharan Africa.
