THE MACHINE

Run "C4.exe" to play The Machine.


The player is marooned and his ship is down. Using the materials that his ship, The Machine, have scattered around the planet, the player must find his way back to his ship.

The player can pick up items with 'E'.
Once an item is picked up, it is displayed in the bottom left hand corner.
The player can then drop items with 'Q'.
Jump with the space bar.
Move with 'W', 'A', 'S', and 'D' keys.

In the world there are 4 types of items.

Boxes can be picked up, carried and stacked.
To stack boxes, the player must jump first and drop the box on another box.
Ropes can be picked up and carried, as well as tied around boxes.
By dropping a rope on a box, the rop will tie around it. Once tied around one box, the rope will follow the player until he drops it on a second box, connecting the two boxes.
Grappling hooks allow the player to pick up objects from farther away, or to attatch ropes from far away. Grappling hooks cannot be dropped.
Magnets can be picked up and will automatically drag the player to the other magnet in the level.

The players objective in each level is displayed at the top of the screen.
