Welcome to the world of Renaissance Man, where you have been whisked off into a fantasy world where you are bound by the traditional limitations of game genres but are capable of switching between them to overcome obstacles and progress through the game.

To play our game, double-click C4.exe and the dungeon world will load.  This is currently the only complete level we have available, so enjoy!

Currently the player is capable of switching between both the 3D platformer genre and the top-down turn-based RPG genre, each with its own abilities and features.

To move around within the world, use W (Up) A (Left) S (Down) D (Right), and rotate the camera with the left and right arrow keys (Platformer mode only).  You may also use the down arrow to focus the camera behind the character.

In platformer mode, you may jump using the space bar.  You cannot jump in RPG mode.

To pause the game, press P, which will also bring up the game menu where you may observe your attacks, magic, inventory, and stats.  Use W and S to navigate through the menu and hit the Enter/Return key to select a menu item.

Throughout the game you will find "Genre Switching Stations" which allow you to transition between platformer and RPG modes.  While standing on a station, hit Enter to switch genres.

You may also use Enter to open doors when you are in RPG mode and meet the requirements for opening it (Having a key or enough cookies).

Be careful of tall grass!  When you walk around in it you may enter an encounter with a random enemy.  Against the enemy you may use attacks and magic, and you may also use items such as potions or run away from the battle entirely.  Use WASD to navigate through the menu and Enter to select an option.  Be wary of your health and mana (Magic) meters!


SUMMARY OF CONTROLS:
Run game -> Click C4.exe
WASD -> Walk, navigate through menus
Left and right arrows -> Rotate the camera (Platformer mode)
Down arrow -> Focus the camera behind your character
Space -> Jump (Platformer mode)
P -> Pause/Open menu
Enter -> Interact with objects (RPG mode) and select menu items
