CS 1005 - Introduction to Programming

A Term 2001 - Homework

Four homework assignments will be given, each worth 7% of your final grade. The due dates for the homework assignments are Sept 11, Sept 20, Oct 2, and Oct 16. Homework will be due at 9:00 am on the due date. Late homework will be accepted within 24 hours of the due date; late homework will incur a 25% penalty. Any homework turned in after the 24-hour grace period will receive a grade of zero. No extra credit or makeup homework assignments will be given.

All programs must compile and run on the WPI UNIX system, using the UNIX GNU C++ compiler (g++). You are strongly encouraged to do all your program development on a UNIX system. If you choose to develop your programs on another platform, it is your responsibility to transfer the programs to your WPI UNIX account, and to ensure that the programs compile successfully using g++.

Submitting Homework

The source code and other deliverables for each homework assignment must be turned in electronically using the turnin program. The TA's will show you how to use turnin during the first lab session on September 5. Homework that is submitted by any other method (email, hardcopy, disk, etc.) will receive a grade of zero.
