Proposal for a Masters Thesis
INTELLIGENT HUMAN COMPUTER INTERFACES
This thesis would concentrate on discovering the state-of-the-art of
research into the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques in Human
Computer Interaction. The work would consist of a literature review,
an evaluation of the success of the integration of the two
technologies, some predictions about areas where AI might be able to
improve interfaces, and a demonstration project which incorporates
some of the most promising techniques. Suitable preparation for the
thesis would be a knowledge of, or at least interest in, AI, HCI,
(Graphics) and interface programming tools (such as Motif).
