Local Information: NSF Student Travel Scholarships

The US National Science Foundation has made available travel funds to allow students to attend AID'00. Travel scholarships will provide up to 50% of travel costs for student attendees. Applications for scholarships should already have been made via the main AID'00 web site.

Applicants should already have provided the following information: Name; Email; Institution; Degree for which you are studying; Name of supervisor; Scan of student card; Whether you are presenting a paper or a poster; Amount requested ($US).

Payment of Scholarship Funds

Students who have been granted scholarships are required to submit copies of proof of travel costs (e.g., copies of airline, bus, coach, or train tickets) to satisfy auditing requirements. You will need this proof and a completed WPI expense form, available from the Registration desk. This will need to be signed by a local official in order to be valid. The Registration desk will assist you.

The scholarship money can be obtained (in US dollars) by you, in exchange for the appropriate paperwork. You will need to show some form of ID (e.g., passport, student ID, drivers license). Go to the service window of the WPI Accounting and Treasury Office, located on the second floor of Boynton Hall [building 5]:
