Local Information: Accommodation: Student Housing

Student Housing is available on Campus at a special, reduced AID'00 rate of $20 per person per night, independent of whether it's a single or double room. There are at least 25 places available, and are being saved for student attendees, for the period June 23rd through June 30th.

The single rooms will be in Founders Hall (Note the change from Institute Hall), a residence normally used for junior and senior undergraduate students. It's on Boynton Street and has parking areas next to it and across the street.

Please note that none of the student rooms on campus are air conditioned.

The number of the payphone in Founders Hall is (508) 798-3452.

Room Reservations

Please send email to aid00@cs.wpi.edu indicating:

  • Name.
  • Gender.
  • Contact information -- address, phone, FAX, email.
  • Check In date.
  • Check Out date.
  • Single room or Double room.
  • If Double, then with which other student you will be sharing.
  • If Double, and you do not name another student, then the housing office will assign someone.
Reservations must be received by Friday June 9th.

Payment

Full payment must be made in cash or by check/cheque (US dollars only) at the Conference (or Workshop) Registration Desk. Checks must be made out to ``WPI'', with a note on it at the top or bottom that indicates that it is for AID'00.

Check In & Check Out

Both Check In and Check Out will be via Campus Police, 35 Dean St. This is almost directly behind Founders Hall. Campus Police will have the keys and the list of who has reserved a room.

Check In: after noon 23rd June.
Check Out: before noon 30th June.
