Just as in any big city, one should be careful about personal
safety. While WPI is located in a safe area, one should take the
normal precautions of not travelling alone on foot late at night on
small side-streets, or in poorly lit areas.
WPI's Campus Police are
responsible 24 hours a day for maintaining safety and security at WPI.
This includes medical emergencies, parking, answering the on-campus
emergency phones, providing assistance with cars that won't start, and
any other similar assistance on the campus.
