Color Set Notation

• Transformation

The color triple in the RGB space is converted to the color

space given by XYZ.

(x,y,z) = T(r,g,b)

• Quantization

Let am be a vector quantizer function that maps (x,y,z)

into one of the m bins. Then m {0 - m-1} is the index of

color (x,y,z) assigned by the quantizer function

m = am(x,y,z)

• Binary Color Space

Let bm be a multidimensional binary space that the index

produced by am such that index value m corresponds to

one axis in bm.
