Region Feature Extraction

The identified regions are characterized and represented using feature sets.

The choices of feature sets are

• Mean Color

• Dominant Color

• Color Histograms

• Binary Color Set

This method suggested by the authors selects only those colors present sufficiently in the region.

Since the color sets are binary vectors, they can be

indexed efficiently.
