Application Benchmarks

• wish---NetBSD performed the best by 2-3 times over the other two in supporting a graphical user interface. Worse memory locality in Windows NT. X11 is able to batch graphics requests.

• Ghostscript---more closely matches bitblt results with Windows NT the best performer followed by NetBSD and then Windows. Only the Unix version of ghostscript is using color!

• Web Server---results in Figure 12. High memory system cache miss penalties.
