CS 4432 Exams

Any information related to be exams will be found here. There will be two exams for the class as stated in the syllabus. Each exam will be taken in class and will be closed-book closed-notes.

CS 4432 Exam #2 (FINAL EXAM)

Main focus will be on the second part of the course. The main topics to review are query processing and concurrency control management.

The main chapters to review are:

6. (but not 6.9 nor 6.10)

7. (but not 7.6.4. - 7.6.6 )

9. (not 9.4.3-9.4.x), and not 9.6 onwards.

10. 10.3 only

CS 4432 Exam #1

REMINDER: The first exam in CS4432 will be on TUESDAY, 3rd of April, 2001 at 2pm. The exam will be an in-class closed book exam.

Exam1 will be closed book and closed notes. However, you are allowed to bring one single one-page (regular size) cheat-sheet. You must have prepared the sheet yourself. You cannot reuse a sheet created by someone else and/or copied from somewhere.

How to prepare yourself for the exam:

First, we suggest that you do and then again review all homeworks of the course carefully.
Second, we suggest you do the problems at end of chapters. Note that you can find solutions to many of those problems by browsing over the webpages of the DB-2 offerings given at Stanford university. Those are linked into our course page under "Syllabus".
