Software is more than just the code. Software is more than just the code. Software is more than just the code. Got it? Just in case you missed it: software is more than just the code. That's point 1 of what you need to learn in this course. The point 2 is that engineers use systematic approaches build complex systems that work (for example, Civil Engineers use building codes to build bridges, dams, etc.). Similarly, Software Engineering involves application of a systematic approach to building software. From taking this course, you will gain a deeper understanding of the software development problems and some approaches that can help in developing good software. We try to achieve this by giving emphasis to the development of one complex software system, and the system documentation necessary for a complete software product.
