CS 1006 Grading Policy

Grade Components

3 Exams at 20% each, Homework 20%, Programming Project 15%, Labs 5%.

Deadlines and Make-Up Assignments

Homework and project assignments are due as indicated, with a very short late submission period, grades discounted appropriately. No assignments will be accepted beyond the late period nor will make-up assignments be given for missed work.

Letter Grades

Grades in this course are not curved -- your grade is independent of everyone else's. As a starting point, we will use the following ranges when determining final grades. We may, at our discretion, lower the boundary between grades when computing final grades, but we will not raise the boundaries.

A: 85 - 100

B: 75 - 84

C: 65 - 74
