This work provides another way to handle conflicts (failures) between
agents in a multi-agent design system, using negotiation. While
research on negotiation has progressed a lot, this paper gives an
outline of how two agents might negotiate, using a case-based
approach. It also introduces the idea of having simple models of other
agents' beliefs about design goals (e.g., make it strong) and their
relationships (e.g., improving A also improves B).
