The Computing Research Association has selected Professor Neil Heffernan of the WPI Computer Science Department as a participant in the inaugural session of the CCC Leadership in Science Policy Institute (LiSPI) in Washington, DC. Participants at this prestigious workshop belong to a "small cadre of computing researchers" to be "educated on how science policy in the U.S. is formulated and how the US government works".

The LiSPI workshop will be held from 8:30 am to 5 pm on Monday, November 7, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington DC.
