Abstract:

The focus of the challenge is to build an autonomous robot which digs as much lunar regolith as possible and deposits it in a specified location.  This involves an innovative mechanical design along with sensing and navigation in an unknown environment.  This talk will focus on the strategy used by the team, Paul's Robotics, and how that strategy lead to the creation of the final product.  The intended robot operation will be explained as well as problems encountered throughout the entire process and the final outcome of the event.
