Sciences and its implications for research and students' learning. Janice Gobert Research Associate Professor WPI – Computer Science Friday, February 8th, 2008 Abstract: In this talk I will describe new learning technologies which
permit rigorous opportunities for research on learning as well as new
affordances for student learning. Two technology-based science education
projects, namely, Modeling Across the Curriculum (mac.concord.org), and ASSISTments meets Inquiry will be described as exemplars
of projects that leverage cognitive theory and technology to support
students’ science learning and scientific literacy. Janice Gobert is Research Associate
