Conclusions
Anti-aliasing is inherent in Computer Graphics and cannot be totally eliminated but definitely reduced.
Aliasing occurs when high frequencies are present in the image and the image is sampled below the Nyquist rate.
Aliasing produces effects such as jagged edges, improperly rendering and disintegrated textures in the image.
Prefiltering and Postfiltering are the two basic methods for antialiasing.
In addition to the aliasing problems discussed, there are other problems in Ray Tracing and Texture mapping too.
Aliasing can also occur in the time and the color domain.
